Forward client requests and reuse cached responses to avoid unnecessary network requests.

My contribution.

Request handling

  • Implemented TCP client-server communication using Python sockets.
  • Parsed URLs and forwarded HTTP GET requests with Python socket and urllib libraries.

Caching & responses

  • Implemented local caching to reuse responses for repeated page requests.
  • Handled server responses including 200, 404, and 500.

THE RESULT

Request forwarding with a reusable local cache.

Implemented an HTTP proxy that forwarded TCP requests, reused cached responses, and handled successful and failed server responses.
